Workforce Training

We believe workforce training is the primary vehicle for enhancing work performance. At Oak Tree Consulting, we deliver highly innovative and exceptionally cost effective training and development solutions to progressive organizations to improve productivity and increase profitability. After years of experience in the manufacturing industry, we have come to believe that technologies must be there to succeed but without a motivated, educated and committed work force, long term success will be a struggle.

Growing evidence strongly suggests that without the effective management of people, the full potential benefits of technology cannot be completely realized. Any technology without a properly trained and motivated work force is a poor investment if workers cannot maximize the potential benefits through optimal usage of the technology. Therefore working closely with the employees at all levels of the organization we develop, implement and evaluate performance improvement solutions that give the workforce the tools they need to operate at the highest levels of productivity.

Training can be conducted in many forms and covers a wide range of both technical and non-technical topics. Issues such as employee orientation, statistical process control, proper work methods, problem solving skills, email usage and etiquette, computer use, telephone communication etiquette, machine maintenance, safety, team-leadership, and health and stress management represent only a small portion of the instructions that can be provided. We work with the management to identify training needs and then develop a training proposal that we consider to be the most effective for the given situation.

We will work with your employees in both individual and group settings to tactfully confront and resolve behavioral issues. From chronic absenteeism to extreme personal conflict, we have seen it all. We believe in compassionate professionalism when it comes to human behavioral problems. With your consent, we can also bring in trained professionals in situations where additional counseling is required. In addition, through professional affiliations we have access to specialized services, strictly on a as needed basis.

In order to create an environment that truly encourages the "continuous improvement" philosophy, it is essential that the organizations pay equal attention to improvements in managerial performance. One of the biggest challenges organizations face today is in helping their management develop new skill sets to support the overall process improvement effort. Management development areas include such topics as coaching, effective communication, conflict resolution, team building, process mapping, technical manufacturing issues, leadership, human resource management issues, work methods, computer training and stress management. Again, depending on the needs and priorities, we can work with your management staff to identify the needs and recommend the most effective strategy and the course of action to realize it.
